Last week saw us pick up a small win with Bernd Wiesberger. His place in the Turkish Airlines Open saw us double our stake on him – nothing big but hey a win is a win is a win.

This week we’ll be covering both the Nedbank Golf Challenge and the OHL Classic. Honestly betting wise if you don’t know much these look to be relatively easy ones – at least in terms of picking bets. Course form is pretty huge at both these courses. Of course a complete outsider could win I mean look at Charley Hoffman – won the OHL Classic 2 years ago but 69, 31 and missed a cut. However course form DOES seem to be consistent and tht will be a big factor in this weeks picks.

Nedbank Golf Challenge Betting Tips:

One interesting stat when you look over that Nedbank Golf Challenge and the previous tournaments is the consistency – a lot of the same golfers appear at the top. Look at Thongchai Jaidee who has went 9-7-9, or Henrik Stenson who has been in the top 5 6 times including a win.

So the first one I just HAVE to bet on is Retief Goosen. A past winner here, he hasn’t participated since 2010. The South African looked a bit disappointing in the Safeway Open and Sanderson Farms – but you know what? He wasn’t half bad. It wasn’t like he had abysmal form or anything. I’m placing a quarter unit on him at the hefty price to win & E/W.

I’m also throwing a quarter unit on Padraig Harrington. He JUST had that win at the Portugal masters showing his form and even though he didn’t perform as great last time out he’s performed well at this course in the past. His odds are great and that Portugal masters win is huge for him.

I’ll also do a quarter unit on Thongchai Jaidee. I don’t think he is outclassed at all, the odds are pretty darn good for him based on his previous form here and I like the golf he’s playing lately. I could see him crack the Top 5 for sure. I’ll back him for a Top 10 finish as well for half a unit personally.

Both of those are also to win & E/W.

OHL Classic Betting Tips:

The OHL Classic is another one where you see a fair bit of course consistency. So we’ll be looking at that along with current form for this one.

Hopefully we can pick out some good underdog plays that will come in.

First up is Jason Bohn who has four Top 20 finishes in a row. Actually his last three were top 10 and he’s cracked the top 5 twice. Bohn had an average performance at the Sanderson Farms Championship but he seemed a bit better at the Shriners Hospital for Children Open. Hoping he’s warming up just at the right time.

A half unit on Keegan Bradley to win & E/W. His form is heating up at just the right time and he had a good time here last time out. I like what he is doing at the moment and I’m tempted to just bet him outright to be honest.

That’s all from me this week.

Special Note to Americans: The majority of my bets rely on each-way betting which is an insurance bet on the golfer to place in the top 5. Unfortunately no American sportsbooks offer that option. I recommend betting at Bovada where you can choose to bet "To Win" and also "Top 5". Split your bet over both of those. Plus get $250 in Free Bets - Only available at Bovada.
