Betting Note: Betting amounts are based on confidence level. My normal betting amounts are $125, $250 & $500, although I will go as low as $62.50 and as high as $1,000 on occasion.

E/W (Each-Way) bets means you split that amount. So if it is a $250 E/W bet, that means $125 on them to win, $125 on them to place (Usually in the Top 5).

This week, the Champions Tour has the AT&T Championship.

The AT&T Championship used to be played at Oak Hills Country Club. However it switched in 2011 to the Canyons Course at the TPC San Antonio. Fred Couples won it that year. David Frost would win it the year after, and then Kenny Perry won it last year.

AT&T Championship 2014 Betting Odds:

  1. Bernhard Langer: 13/2
  2. Kenny Perry: 11/1
  3. Fred Couples: 13/1
  4. Colin Montgomerie: 14/1
  5. Woody Austin: 14/1
  6. Kirk Triplett: 16/1
  7. Paul Goydos: 18/1
  8. Jay Haas: 18/1
  9. Joe Durant: 20/1
  10. David Frost: 22/1

I haven’t had a lot of time for this one so it is only half of what I usually bet.

AT&T Championship Winner #1: Bernhard Langer

We will be betting Langer to win outright, not E/W at that price.

Langer has dominated this course in recent years. He was 2nd 2 years ago and tied for first last year.

He is no surprise the favourite, and we will be betting him to win the tournament outright.

Bet: Langer to win. Best odds at https://www.GTBets.com.

AT&T Championship Winner #2: Kirk Triplett

We’re backing Triplett to win us some more money this week.

He’s finished in the top 5 the last two years here and we think he can do it again.

Bet: Triplett E/W at https://www.GTBets.com.

AT&T Championship Winner #3: John Cook

We’ve been watching Cook closely lately and really been impressed by the golf he has been playing. He also does well on this course.

The price of 30/1 is nice and represents a lot of value.

Bet: John Cook E/W 30/1 at https://www.GTBets.com.

AT&T CHAMPIONSHIP 2014 RESULTS & ANALYSIS:

We were very unlucky not to have Langer pick up the win for us. He had a very poor first round, and despite two solid rounds to get him tied for 6 it wasn’t enough. To be fair Michael Allen had two exceptional rounds and it just wasn’t to be – but at that price it was still probably a good bet on retrospective.

Kirk Triplett looked to get us a cash but unfortunately he shot a 71 in the 3rd round. A 69 there would have been enough for a Top 5 finish and the money.

John Cook led after day 1 where he shot a 65. Sadly he went 72 and 73 on the final two rounds. That was an exciting first round at least – and might be a good reason to look into betting exchanges, where you can bet someone like him then cash out if the odds go down enough.

Since 2014 I've been providing free golf tips on a weekly basis. Each tournament analysis, research and writing the betting tips takes over 10 hours per tournament. That doesn’t include watching each tournament and taking notes etc. It's why I do less and less non-PGA tips these days.

I’ve delivered a lot of big winners over the years, and all I ask is if you appreciate the work I put in and so I can continue to keep the tips free, a donation is highly recommended and much appreciated.

While I obviously make enough money from my golf bets, this sort of financial support would motivate me to write more content on here. This would include golf prop bets like first round leader, head vs head and much more plus daily fantasy golf articles. Cheers!
